A Fool For Tulle...

While on line searching for a bridesmaids dress for a dear friends wedding I stumbled upon all these lovely tulle pieces at J.Crew.

Stop my beating heart, whoever created this fabric: I love you. One glance and I am all tangled up in daydreams of ballerinas, brides and old fashioned blushers!

The trim is perfectly punchy!

The layers are divine.

This dress really set me back an hour or two as I conjured up visions of my second wedding, to my current husband, in this dress. "I do..."

It's practically a scrap, a shred, a remnant,

and yet it has got to be one of the prettiest things this girl has ever seen.

Summertime and the livin' is easy...

And breezy.

And beautiful.

Oh how I love summer.

We close on our house this coming friday (horray!) and in while searching for wall paint inspiration photos on line I came across one of my favorite rooms ever. What a great place to rest your head after a long day of picking flowers and a long night of catching fireflies!

Spring into Summer

Where did spring go!?

All of a sudden I come to my blog and I see the last thing I wrote about was derby hats which was soooo last month!

Spring and Summer makes an event planner a busy bee...but it hasn't just been business that has kept me away from Salt and Sentiment.

I could blame it on the fact that we are in the process of buying a house (yay!!!) or that my computer has had issues (boo!!!) but the main reason I haven't been writing is that it has just been so darn nice out!

I want to get outside and that is probably not going to change in the next few months. I hope you will forgive me for not writing as often as I did during the cooler months...and if you swing by and see I haven't written for a while I strongly urge you to get outside and enjoy God's beautiful creation too!

The art above I found at a little etsy shop while looking for little decorative things for our new home...I think it's pretty sweet.
