A bunch of weekend flowers and a throwback to my college poetry class for you. A piece of one of my favorite poems...
photo by tiny petals
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Excerpt from "I wandered Lonely as a Cloud
by William Wordsworth
May your weekend be full of dancing, wandering, and daffodils!
Daffodils are some of my favorite flowers! Great poem too :)
ReplyDeleteI love daffodils too:)
ReplyDeleteTo me, they are one of the happiest flowers...almost as happy as daisies:)
Oh, lovely post! Yup, Wordsworth and the daffodils, a classic!
ReplyDeleteOMG when I read this out of nowhere the words came back to me. I LOVED Wordsworth in high school and your post took me back. Very lovely. Hope you have a fab weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love this poem! It is in that book I just gave to Anna. I am not sure I had heard it before.
